It might be a good solution for a dd, because you only really use it when dipping into boost. Common on Turbo Buicks. Sean's brother has this kind of setup actually and it works pretty good.

BUT, alcohol is very hygroscopic. That is, it will absorb water vapor out of the atmosphere like a mofo. This alters it's characteristics. Worst case scenario, you tune aggressively for wonderful pure meth. Fill up your meth tank, don't really use it much, it takes on a bunch of water, you dip in hard to boost and naughty things happen. Not likely, but possible. You'll also have to keep an eye on the level of the meth tank, because if you run out during heavy boost, naughty things WILL happen. If you mix Torco, none of these problems exist, and you don't have to buy any equipment, but you got to throw it in your gas tank every time you fill up.
yah definitely some ups and downs... anyone know what it'd cost to buy 1gallon of methanol?

PM bgn8711 if no one answers. He should know the best place and price to get it. Sean might be able to ask him if he talks to him soon.

GRC Performance in Misiion Viejo used to sell it. I think I remember paying ~$5/gal.

HP numbers are good and all, but they are like asking someone how much they can bench. What difference does it make if I can still kick your ass?

Last time out I ran 11.815 @ 119 MPH with a slipping clutch. I have a new clutch on order.

joe is this the location your tuner is? I'm looking for a place to get a custom tune... i need to stop by there and talk to someone. Looking for a CMR tuner (Diablosport is the unit I'm using). And would love to get dynotuned locally... but need to know if they ever work with neons lol.

No, my tuner is Greg Monroe at Racers Edge Tuning. He only works with Fords.
