Any thoughts or insights on this conversion? For a roots blown 347?

If I remember right that thing costs about 3k right? My dad and I were looking at this kit for converting his twin turbo boat. At the end of the day, not really worth the money.

I can get it for under $2K. Not really concerned so much about the cost. Just wondering if it can be tuned for a roots blower?

Of course, Gale Banks recommended it for my dads boat so a roots would be no different. You'll be on borrowed time with the block anyhow so if money is no object I would do it in a heartbeat.

Not with the block I have planned for this build.

Starting with a Dart SHP block.

Well, carry on then. Are we still at a race to see who finishes first?

Nah. I'm still old and lazy so I'm sure you'll finish first.

Oh i've been pretty damn lazy lately. Didn't even look at the cars for a few weeks.

Is this just for the cool factor of having EFI or do you think it will run better with EFI than it will with a carb? Unless idle quality might be an issue due to a huge cam you will make just as much power with a carb.

It's for the cool factor & ease of tuning. I'm aware that a carb will make as much or more power.

If the cost isn't a concern then go for it. I'd run EFI on the Chevelle if I could afford it.
