Hey guys, I'm in town for a bit. We have a new chief on board that has a bracket racer mustang. He has a 460 block that he needs machined and a 513 ci stroker kit assembled and installed. Got any recommended machine shops and any rough estimate on a reasonable price?

I just went to Guy's machinist and he did a good job and didn't charge much. My total bill was $471 which included machining the block and heads, valve job, new cast pistons with rings and main/rod bearings. The name is Pacific Engine in Covina and their number is (626) 966-3640.

Ditto with Guy's machinist. The work I've seen is clean and the prices are low.
BTW, Guy is Shaolin Crane on the forum.

Track Pro/ Larry's Performance in Bellflower. They build stout balanced stuff at a cheap price.
Although, you shouldn't rely on info from the guy at the front desk. But the machinists know what they're doing.
