Default Evo X couple bolt ons and a tune 12.24@111mph

not my car but someone else in cold weather. I remember someone doubting another run someone did 12.3@110 with just a reflash.
Thought I'd keep you guys posted who are not in the evo world but like to see what new models are doing so far.

Seems totally plausible to me. I'd like to see an equivalent setup at our own very special California Speedway.

Referencing that Hot Rod article and Ben's thread, it should lose 3/10 in the 60 foot, maybe another 2/10 to the 1/8 mile. So, around 12.6 at best, more likely 12.8.

I didn't know that. It's kind of a bummer you can't get an MR with a 6-speed. They should at least make it an option. Plus, I think you were telling me that the SST wasn't holding up to the extra power, right?

Yeah alot of people complain that there is no 6 speed. The new evo X has shorter gearing (compared to the previous evos) so cruising on the freeway sucks (4k rpms@80mph) thats why trap speeds are low for dragging because everyone rides the 4th rev limiter at the end of the track and you see people running 11's with only 113-114mph traps, but the gearing is wonderful for the turning track.
As for now the SSt cant hold much more tq then stock. There gonna have to wait and see if they can get some aftermarket goodies on the tranny. Which I think will be alot. not to mention the SST tranny is around 10g's to replace

ya sst is rediculous. but i do wanna see a 10 with an fp red or that crazy bolt on 30r garrett made that looks mega stealth. if i ever owned a 10 i would have to swap out to one of those turbos.
