The developers of
Grid 2, which arrives in stores in May 31, three days later
than originally announced, have decided to show us some details of
the gameplay teased before in its new Racenet rivals system. Distinct from the career mode will be online modes that can accommodate 12 players paired by playlists and preferences like "anti-griefing," which can keep drivers who don't mind rubbin' separate from those who prefer no contact.
Modes are Race, Endurance, Drift, Touge, Checkpoint, Face Off and Time Attack. There are three Rivals modes that can choose competitors based on ability, social connections or custom settings.
Overtake and Power Lap are part of Global Challenge events and races can be contested even when rivals are offline.
There's also the ability to record your finest moments in-game and upload them to YouTube. Speaking of which, there's a video
