HP numbers are good and all, but they are like asking someone how much they can bench. What difference does it make if I can still kick your ass?

Sweet. Isn't that what you had on it before with the old 302? How much compression does your 347 have? Are you going to have to drop the compression?

I had it on the 302 that is going in RX-Snake, then I had it put it on my 347 stroker. It's 9.7:1 compression. Here's a video when the engine was on an engine dyno.

It made over 550 HP on that engine dyno with 8 PSI of boost. Later I increased the boost to 12 PSI and ran water methanol injection.

That's a lot of compression for a roots. Are you going to run the meth injection again or just keep the boost low?

My ls2 runs at 10.5:1 with no meth injection

I'll probably lower the compression to ~9:1. If not I'll start off with low boost. Haven't made up my mind yet. I was going to re-build the 347 with high compression and a big cam, but I decided to just replace the blower. I loved the way that engine ran. Very streetable and pulled like a freight train.

You have a much more efficient engine and a heat exchanger and I thought your engine only had 9:1.
