Default General Motors to buy Chrysler?

It looks like General Motors is pretty serious about buying Chrysler. It looks like they would desolve the brands but absurb the manufacturing capacity. Could be very interesting, not sure what I think though.

Disolve the brands . . . the technology, that really just means Chrysler is dead for all intents and purposes. And then there were two.
