The word genius is radically overused. I'm not sure it really means much of anything anymore. There are many, many hard working, above average inteligence people who do great things. But they are not "geniuses".
A real genius has something a bit different. Something that defies conventional explanation. I've met a couple in my life, but nothing like a Tesla, because that's maybe once or twice in a hundred years.
Nikola Tesla is probably the greatest, and most practically important genius most people know little or nothing about. Just thinking about what he understood . . . before anybody else did . . . is humbling to me.
The video is a bit melodramatic for my taste, but gives some indication.
So. When you see a Tesla on the road think of the man for whom it is named. Maybe say a little thank you for the civilization he had a profound part in making possible.
