Default New Motor

Well, I did it. I expect it will take at least 6 weeks to build/ intstall/ tune.

-LS3 based 418ci forged everything
-ETP 215 Heads
-FAST 90
-factory compression ratio
-Big ass cam (i.e. bigger than my old one)
-kooks 1 3/4 headers

Crossing my fingers for low 500's at the wheels.

Good luck Carlos. Keep us posted on the progress. That should be one badass motor.

HP numbers are good and all, but they are like asking someone how much they can bench. What difference does it make if I can still kick your ass?

That 418 LS motor will run hard. Good job.

Word. Are you considering an Acuusump?

Yeah. The guys at vette doctors are looking a a moroso road racing pan and maybe the accusump. It all comes downto the price accusumps aren't very expensive, but I don't have a very high sealing on this one.

I'm not doing anything here but writing the check. I'm hoping to have a motor that will last a LONG time.

The good news about the pretty inexpensive Accusmp is that the pre-oiling alone is probably worth the price in longevity, to say nothing of helping to alleviate starvation situations.
