Default Going to sell the Z because I got this

I decided that I will be selling the Z since spending 470 a month with insurance ( I have a few speeding tickets on my record so insurance sucks) is a bit too much. I rather save the money and buy a house sometime before I die. So anyways, I got a 89 325is with a E36 M3 motor swap. I must say, this car is beastly. It handles like an absolute charm! It only has lighter wheels and BC Club coil overs along with NT01s as tires. I am confident the tires are making a world of difference but I did a lot of research and see that people, overall, really do enjoy these cars.

I do need to get some things worked out but the guy I bought it from is a guy from HS who is a partner at a local BMW shop. Most definitely need a new seat, steering wheel and steering rack. As of now it takes 4 turns lock to lock and I prefer 2.7 to 3 (my options of aftermarket racks).

Nice, I agree with the rack. My race car is 1 turn to lock and I love not needing to take my hand off the shifter in tight turns.

Thanks everyone.

1 turn sounds amazing. I have an autocross event this weekend with www.speedventures.com and I will see if the car is actually faster than the Z. The Z's suspension is much more advanced so who knows if this car can out handle it. None the less, saving the money every month will be worth it.

I washed the beast and did something I do every blue moon... raced a guy on the street. Took out a brand new V6 Camaro. I felt bad for the guy since he still had the dealer plate.

Get a different set of rims and save those nt01's. Nt05's makes a great street tire replacement.

I love the look of those cars. As for the NT01, they are an amazing tire. With my NT555 (285/40/17) I break the tires loose in second gear in the Cobra when I give it full throttle. With my old NT01 (245/45/17) I could give it full throttle in first gear and it would hook. They are much stickier than a normal street compond.

yea, i am looking into oreserving these tires. I have the 555 on my z and I am constantly breaking traction. Wonder how the Z would feel with them.

No doubt, but they wont last anywhere near as long as the NT05's will.

NT05's are still a 200 treadwear tire, so they are plenty sticky for street use but will last longer and provide excellent wet weather traction.
