I've never done it on windows but the same steps should work for you.


Download and install ffmpeg

then run this command

ffmpeg -i VIDEO_PATH_GOES_HERE -r 2 -f image2 ffmpeg_temp/%05d.png

This will take 2 frames every sec and put them into a folder

then after that is done run this command

ffmpeg -i ffmpeg_temp/%05d.png -b 4000k OUTPUT_VIDEO_NAME

I was expecting something a little different. The effect here is basically the same as if I just speed up playback in premiere.

True except this only takes 20 mins to do. And i'm still playing with how I deal with the frames.

I'm gonna try and mix in normal video with the timelaps, and see how that works out.
