Right now, the Vette is in the shop. No room for anything else.

What do you mean by center section? The 8.8 isn't like the Ford 8" or 9" that has a bolt-in center section.

HP numbers are good and all, but they are like asking someone how much they can bench. What difference does it make if I can still kick your ass?

The diff itself with what on some Vettes is called the bat-wing, and half shafts. Basically the pumkin with it's mounting bits and half shafts out to the hubs, but not the craddle or other pieces suspension pieces.

Pull what I need and scrap the rest. At the moment, that would be

- IRS
- Wheels (temporariliy usable on the Snake at least to roll around)

Maybe to piece out and sell?
- Doors
- Radiator
- Lights
- Trans
- Glass
? ?

No wonder I didn't know what you meant. IRS is a different language than I speak.

Trans is good as far as I know. It was OK before the engine stopped,

Nates passing on this. He's been saving up to buy a new car so he's sticking with that.

Why destroy this car when we could build it into a cool road race car. Put a high winding N/A SBF or SBC in it with a 4 or 5 speed. It has a lot of potential. We could build it up and run it in Redline Time Attack or NASA Time Trial series. We could even cut and relocate the firewall to set the engine back and run a BBC if we wanted to.

Ron, how much is an 8.8 31 spline rear end out of an Explorer?

If you're seriously interested in doing something like that with the Thunderbird I'll seriously consider picking it up and finding a way to store it. My condition is that you be on tap as the main guy for the build. I'm also in no position at present to fund two cars simultaneously, so I wouldn't start it until RX-Snake is done and the dough is flowing again. But I'm intrigued.

The other project we were talking about on Sunday was a 2nd Gen Camaro with a 2JZGTE in honor or Glenn.
