Steve said mine reach 280+ degrees.

HP numbers are good and all, but they are like asking someone how much they can bench. What difference does it make if I can still kick your ass?

Ya, exactly, it's an entirely different animal. I think for an old style roots setup you need like 8:1 compression to get up to around 8 or 10 lbs of boost.

With an old style roots and 10.5:1 you'd be better off not running it. You'd start to melt pistons with a few lbs because of the heat.

Newer LS motors with liquid cooled roots blowers have better flow, better control over the engine, and the blowers run cooler. I think a lot of those Magnacharger guys run pretty decent boost with stock LS compression. Different animal.

Holy shit balls. Whatever I guess, if you can tune it to work, keep it up.

Ya if your not gonna intercool it then you have to lower the compression.

I don't need to lower the compression. I may end up lowering it, but I ran it with the current compression on 12 PSI with water methanol injection.

Not sure. It'll be awhile. I should have all the mertal work on the car done next month. Just getting everything I need so I can put it together when it's done. I have to find a good painter. The guy I used for my 65 convertible is no longer painting cars.
