We were. His GTO makes the Cobra feel really slow.

FWD here and probably not much more than 450 for DD. Streetable at more than that yes. difficult? yes.
RWD probably closer to 500-600 DD... weekender = 700-800
AWD... buahahaha. I think I'd be happy with a solid 600 whp awd platform.

Thougt Ron was talking about the Cobra.
What I said about the SRT4, I am used to my Mom's open diff. So an 04+ would prob feel good for quite a bit more power.

This is all about the money. My old Monte carlo and Mustang both felt like they had more than what was streetable with 350-430 rwhp. Both cars sucked. The vette is in the mid fives and very streetable. I can drive off in second or third off idle with no throttle.
Stay in school!

Watching you guys argue is comedy.
-Carlos, your new engine is a beast and I think you'll have a very successful season
-Ron, I have complete confidence in your engine building skills and I believe 100% you could build a 1000hp engine if you wanted to and had enough money.
-Adam, you're still the McGyver of cars and your engine is also a beast.
Back to the original argument - I think anything over 360rwhp is realistically plenty for a street car. Having said that, with forced induction it's easy to get 600+ and still be very streetable. I'm shooting for 550+ wheel with the Cobra

^^ 550 wheel on your cobra will be nice I'm still planning someday to have 400-450 on this car. many things will happen before that though.

For a DD with the most power I'd have to give the trophee to Sean. Your Cobra makes really big power but sitting on the freeway it was quiet, idled smooth, AC, comfy seats... I'd rather drive it to SF than my Neon.

The Cobras are definitely excellent all arounders, including trunk and back seats, etc. I think I might get a turbo porsche some day. I've always liked them and the make great super great all weather all arounders and can make some pretty serious streetable power.
