The getting hurt aspect did cross my mind. What if I do lift it and mess up a joint... or, what if I drop it on myself. Haha

I used to have these double decker jet skiis. The upper one lowered with a winch. Anyways, I had to shoulder press the upper one (550lbs) so my brother could pull the compartment out of the lower one... I did it, but my shoulder was messed up for 2 months after that.

I couldn't lift 55 pounds to save my life let alone shoulder press 550. You guys are strong!

I just lifted the front, the back was still on the trailer. I dont think Schwarzenegger could shoulder press 550lbs.

Ill bet so. I can shoulder press 100 lb dumbbells about 8 times right now. In 2008 I could do 275 on the Smith machine 5 or 6 times.

So Ill bet a bodybuilder could. Arnold bench pressed about 520 at his peak. And there are guys a lot bigger than him, with a shorter reach.

I'm back to the 75's and doubt I'll shoot for more with my shoulder.

The world record appears to be 535. If ligaments blow out it doesn't matter if you can't feel pain, the "machine" will be broken.
