I said relatively. In other words, making $50 - $500/hour as an Attorney is a bit different than minimum wage as a greeter at Wal Mart. "Expensive" should almost always be considered in relative, not absolute terms. For some guys, an F430 is much cheaper than a Camry for others.

Not if you build it yourself. You could build a rear 4 link for a few hundred dollars. The coilovers would be the big expense at around $1500. Just make sure it's an older 83-97 with the TTB front and then you could build your I-beams and radius arms. You could even do it for cheaper by using 64 inch leaves in the rear with a long travel shock instead of coilovers.

Ron,

If he goes with the late 80's Ranger he could just beef up the I-beams as those ones are forged and can be welded to. That way he could plate them and only need to get Radius arms. A call to Camburg would be in order then! That would be one bada$$ road warrior/Off-road monster!
