Oh wait you guys are talking about the automatic aren't you? Other than this 400 model, are the EvoXs still available with a manual trans?

lol u silly ya the new automatic wont hold more then 330hp

all the older evo trannys are cherry

and the new evo manual gear box is essentially the old one so its pretty beefy

and the evo 10, fq-360 (360hp model) and fq-400 (400hp model) and so on will use the time tested manual trans because it can hold the power with ease.

Yep the new 5 speed is similiar to the older evo's but they say its been beefed up even more using wider gears and some other stuff which I don't really know the terms or much on the technical aspects.
The new Evo X GSR has the 5 speeds only
The MR's and Ralliarts use the fancy/low tq handling paddle shift tranny (SST)

if they can only take 330tq then there is only like one turbo they can upgrade too to give them a shatty tq but a nice hp number and that might be the a 50 trim on pump gas, or maybe even a 30r on pump if they tune shitty for it!

damn paddle shifting auto's are getting a bad rep now lol, mitsu sucks, nissan sucks, im pretty sure VW ones suck but they never get any real power outta those cars so i dont think we will ever find out for sure, i think maybe bmw's might be the only well made ones now, or even mercedes

you can reach that tq limit easily with stock turbo. But I look at these trannys as a start to the future. Give it 5-6 years then these style of trannys will be as good or better then the manuel. But until then!
