I can't believe how cheap they are. Wow. You could get one of those, pull the motor and sell it for 3-5k, and get an LS3 with a hot cam for 5k (?) and have a little monster on your hands. I always liked the C5s, they are very attractive.

Damn c5 vettes are dropping in price. The new c7 is gonna compound the issue. I bet in a few years you will be able to get a c5 for like 10k easy

They already going for 10k or less, i've ran across a few at 5-6k and 2 for 4k. Granted they were rough, but for a matted out track toy thats a perfect price for me.

Fine for a total track rebuild, smart in fact, but I wouldn't touch things on that end with a ten foot pole for street/dd duty.

Since I know i'll be doing some extensive work to the drivetrain it'll be fine for me. As long as it has working a/c then it's DD worthy in my book.

I have ZERO interest in futzing with a car to get it to DD status, and Vettes are notorious for having lists of small annoying problems that aren't so cheap to fix.
