Hey guys! It's Brandon (The Victory Red S/C vette).

It was really nice meeting you all today! I signed up on here specifically so I can start posting and go to more cruises now! Sorry I had to bail and couldn't eat...having to work blows lol.

Anyways though....those that turned around missed out bigggg time. That drive as WAY worth 20 bucks for a stupid fix-it ticket that's easy to get signed off. I had SO much fun carving the canyon roads!

Oh and I still have to remind you all that the cops liked my car the best and told me hahahaha

Welcome aboard.

Yeah, cops love Vettes. I've lost count how many times I've been pulled over . . .

First and last cars get walkie talkies. Maybe a few inbetween for good measure. Done.

It was nice to meet you. Sorry about yesterday, people at the front freaked out and it was no big deal. The rest of the cruise was fantastic. If we do it again next month, you in?

We've tried them up there before, and honestly the range is so short it's not terribly useful. They're also not terribly clear under good conditions inside a car anyway. I'm curious about MURS radios which seem to be a little more potent.

FSR's.

One for the lead, one for the sweep and one every 8-10 cars, preferably cars with passengers and people who really know each other that way your max range only has to bee a hundred yards or so and you can relay info down the line.

Most important is to forget about an organized run, you give a destination and tell folks here are the ways to get there but keep up and follow the leader is the most fun, if you are insistent at keeping a group together then you need corner markers, cars up front who will sit and wait until the previous 'sweep' goes by and make sure everyone got turned in the right direction and then takes up the sweep but that takes serious planning and work and frankly who needs that.

I have used your typical radios on several cruises and they work pretty good. Main thing is pick a channel that is long range over short range. If I remember correctly channel 15 to 22 are the good ones to use.
