I must have just lucky with mine. I guess I'll look for another brand when I'm able to fix the front end on the Explorer.

the HO's were bad.. I drove the car for a total of about 150 miles to and from the track and that was it. they are coming out right now lol..

Did a set of 3.90's and they screamed like a dog box transmission. IIRC it has something to do with how the gears are cut. They eventually stopped screaming after a couple thousand miles, unacceptable.

I wonder what that would be? Maybe just a slightly unfinished edge that gets smoothed off without separating (metal bits are bad mmkay).

Dunno, that's just the word floating around. The faces are the teeth are kinda rough and take time to smooth out as the gears mesh. Or so forums would have you believe, I have never bought another set of motive gears. Stick to good ol' junkyard take outs

they got louder after a day of racing because of the launches. I couldn't take it anymore after 3 hr drive.. my Ford Racing gears never made news and I had over 130 runs on the them and 22K miles.

new 3.31 ford racing gears should be here this week. New race seats just came in and are now getting suede installed.
