Go for it. Maybe just prefix the title of each new thread so they're somehow grouped: Like "Japhy's Journal - The Beer Floweth Freely", "Japhy's Journal - Wanna Dance?", "Japhy's Journal - <fill in the blank>" or something like that.

There are a lot of lurkers around here, maybe you'll lure them out.
