I'm always amazed, and humbled, by people's passion for doing something to the best of their ability, which sometimes is sometimes pretty spectacular. For me, it's kind of a lesson to be reminded of all the time.
I don't have any pictures, but in my little weird home town there was a small appliance repair shop. Seriously a hole in the wall. The owner spent his spare time transforming fruit crates in to Spanish Galleons. These things were massive, maybe for or five feet long. He carved hundreds(!) of little people and canons, masts, installed sails . . . everything. I don't quite remember but I think each one took like 18 months.
