Default M3 Owners are Ignorant Pansies

Love this new M3, hate, passionately hate, other M3 owners. I joined some FB group for M3 car porn and mixed in are a lot of user posts. I, having assembled engines and painted cars, often have something useful to say.

Regardless of how simple it is, trolls will attack you. I gave up and left the group. Not worth it. Super simple posts and I end up defending myself against 30 idiots who don’t know where the oil fill plug is located.

I was on the E90 forum looking for the process to replace air bags. 2-4 pages worth of people swearing up and down the module must be removed and sent in for reprogramming. I log into my laptop and clear the codes in 20 seconds, all has been well for months.

They literally laugh at the bad gas mileage and say if you care about gas mileage, you can’t afford an M3. Bunch of arrogant posing pricks, 99.9% of them. Chapelle voice: I hate em!

Also, I have a site suggestion. Allow users to post on the FB Motorgen page. A lot of sites have a FB platform. It could help cross pollinate.

I joined the M3 French forum on FB, and I’ve come to find that the Europeans do not suffer from the same douchebagery that Americans do. Maybe because BMW is like Chevy to them so it doesn’t attract snobs?

Definitely, however according to people I knew from Europe said the Mercedes owners still fall into that category

BMW Owners are notorious Yuppie types in UK at least. That's for sure. Maybe not doucebaggy snobs, but definitely a stereotype of a corporate business type. TopGear had a funny episode maybe seven years back or so.

Best thing about the European forums: left hand drive conversions.
