Car designers of the 1970s era loved to draw wedges--sharp-edged, nose-down, door-stop shaped thing. These didn't often work well as transportation tools but looked cool and adhered to aerodynamic principles in theme if not in detail. Plenty made it into production despite the packaging and climate-control problems they posed, but we've chosen to concentrate on the styling concept dream machines that starred at the world's major auto shows in this era.--
