Default Slow load times.

I might be a little different then most people but i like loading 40+ postings on a single page.

I have noticed that the page times are getting slower and slower. So I wanted to see what was taking the page so damn long to load (over 30 sec on a busy thread)

It looks like the +1, and tweet little buttons are the things making it take so long

Here is a link that might work for the +1

http://googlewebmastercentral.blogsp...ow-faster.html

It also looks like you don't have compression enabled (it will save on your bandwidth bills a ton )

Thanks for the heads up. I know we compressed when colocated, but apparently forgot for this provider.

Yes with normal default settings the site works for the most part very well. but once you start to load more postings per page you really start to notice.

Also these are changes that will greatly help me but you will also notice a nice speed bump as well.

I still have slow load times on the very long threads and as I was building (by hand) my own site I deiced to use memcache and maybe that might help on some of the load times around here.

http://www.howtoforge.com/using-memc...ad-debian-etch

I only link for the instructions on how to turn on memcached for vbulletin at the bottom
