Default Mixing Gear Oil

I have enough redline 75w90 and 75w140 to mix together and do my diff (calls for 75w90). Anyone see a problem with that? Would it affect mileage in a front diff thats normally disengaged?

Well, mixing oils not a simple matter of averaging weights I don't think, but in any case it'd be somewhat to significantly heavier than OE calls for. If it were the olden days with fairly sloppy tolerances (at least in engines) I don't think it matter much at all. But these days, I might be slightly more concerned. Worth asking more about. I think Damian might be the best to ask about this specifically.

I don't think it'll be a problem.
