Default Pontiac Vibe

So Pontiac is no more. They didn't build vehicles people wanted?

Well, let me say this about that.....

Maybe not a good looking car.

For a little vehicle it was a HELL of a driver. I was really surprised on how well it drove.

It wanted to cruise at 100 mph. I was driving on HWY 40 and I'd settle it in at 80 and I'd look down at the speedo and find I would be doing 100 in next few minutes. There was not a difference in the vehicle between 70 and 100 mph.
Both up and back I was NEVER passed on the 40. Very stable and good handling little car even is the high winds on the way up.

Great little car for what it is. I fit in it very well and there was plenty of room for stuff.

2.4 liter with traction control and AWD. Pulls pretty strong. Hell I pulled Ponyboy for 5 ft when we raced.

If you ever get a chance to drive one of these things, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Boost, because sometimes atmospheric pressure just isn't enough.

Yea, I'd never buy one---but you never know if you will need a good driver and the Vibe came up at a good price.

The Vibe was a really good driver. Your wife knows cars.

GTO or Vibe----I'd go GTO also.

The Pontiac Vibe is a compact hatchback car produced in Fremont, California, in the United States by NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc), a joint venture between General Motors and Toyota, and marketed under General Motors' Pontiac brand. The Toyota Voltz is an identical twin to the Vibe (with different badging and right-hand drive) that was sold in Japan for a short while before being dropped due to lack of popularity. It is a short and tall hatchback that is being marketed as a trendy, quasi-SUV (or Station Wagon) vehicle for younger buyers. Prototypes were shown at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2000 and production vehicles came on the market in 2002 for the 2003 model year. The Vibe is the mechanical counterpart of the Toyota Matrix and is based on the Toyota Corolla's E-platform.

Yea, this surprised me.

Why a suprise, they have been in bed together for 10+ yrs. The Geo metro was a Corolla. I think The Nova and Sprint from the early 80s are Izusu/ Toyotas.
Thats why it is a good car, GM did not design it..
