I had the same thing happen with my T5 in the Cobra. Time to bite the bullet and go with a built trans. It will save you money in the long run. I went with a T56 after breaking the T5 the second time.

Yep. I saved about $600 bucks on my tranny . . . til it blew the output shaft and I spent about that much repairing it. Buying from scratch I would have spent the same on a blue printed Viper spec T56.

You want to hurl your fat ass and 3K lbs of metal from 0 - 120mph in 11 or 12 seconds, you're gonna break shit.

I've heard that the WRX transmissions are weak compared to the STI transmissions. Don't know what you have, but if it's the former... do the swap, if that's even possible.

From what I hear, with a WRX you need to smoke the crap out of the clutch to save the trans. Even dropping it in 2nd gear hard can tear it up.

Well this time it blew cause of me... 18.5 psi and race gas... + meth

They are going to warrenty it again so im not worried

Looking into getting a 2009 but the rebates are shit so..
