Default Motorgen off topic thread

I think you guys need one. This is the thread that you can talk about anything and everything without making a new thread for each topic.

So, I'm working night shift right now for the next 6 days and I'm bored out of my mind. I should go change the brake pads on the wife's Corolla, but I'm feeling a but lazy at the moment. I also have all the parts to rebuild my Eclipse engine with all new gaskets and a bigger clutch and chromoly flywheel. I'm hoping to push 10-12psi which should put me around 350whp. Get the Eclipse put back together and then fix the GTO to the point where I can trade it in for a new SUV for the wife.

You're OT thread is a car thread.

As for the point, that's what the BS Lounge is for basically, but an OT thread is fine to add too.

If you don't like, and there is some kind of consensus, that OT (i.e., non-automotive) threads hit the main page thread list, we can filter it. Presently we filter Politics and Relgion for that reason. That should be an only if you want to section.

On MKR, our off topic thread has over 3k posts of anything from funny vids we find to what we did over the weekend or whatever you want to talk about. We leave it free of moderation (other than any member to member negativity) and save the technical talk to the appropraite sections.

That's how we think of the BS section basically. Let me ask, how do you use Motorgen? Do you typically hit the home page for most recent regardless of section (except Politics and Religion) or do you hit the Forums tab to the single most recent for each section?

Mine did earlier, so I had the wife take care of that.

Where is a good place to go on vacation (a weekend actually) with a 2 year old? I was thinking of something along the coast and doesn't cost too much.
