Ok, this might sound strange coming from GTR, but every once in a while they get asked by other car magazines to cover a technical installation story on something other than a Mustang. Auto Enthusiast Magazine (AMOS Publishing) wants them to cover a technical installation story on an LT-1 V8 powered 93-97 Camaro or Firebird/Trans Am. It MUST BE LT-1, NOT LS-1.
This story will include a bunch of basic bolt on things (cold air, throttle body, computer tuner, exhaust, mass air meter, etc...) so they need the car to be basically stock to get accurate dyno data. If the car already has some MINOR upgrades, it might work. The car must be in pretty good condition and decent looking for pictures. Show quality is NOT necessary.
As usual with all magazine stories, the parts used for the tech story and the related installation/labor along with the dyno testing /tuning will be greatly discounted and or sponsored. The exact extent will be determined once they find a car and figure out exactly which parts/manufacturers will participate in the project build up. They are looking to start this within the next couple of weeks.
