This is just a hypo for legal writing by the way, not real law.
The rule of law in this case as stated is that: A person who intends to and does confine another is liable for false imprisonment unless the confinement results from an arrest, as that term is defined in section 10(b) of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Mrs. Warren was clearly not confined in the legal sense of the word. -Main conclusion of the subissue.
If anyone actually cares to see the logic I'll post it, but I just thought that this was amusing.
