No, the 185's have 185cc intake ports with larger valves and the 165's have 165cc intake ports.

Ahhh, I missed that in the article. Can you port out the 165's far enough to make them the same? Please excuse my ignorance on porting. I really need to setup that class with Glenn so I can learn about this stuff.

Yes, when you port the head you will increase the cc of the port.

Porting them to 185cc is going to push the limit of the flow of the 1.90 valve. Especially about 5,000 rpm and above.

Just like the one I bought in 89-expect it was Red, had an Air Bag (first year) and of course it was a 90. Great vehicles!!
