I remember way back in 1989. I was getting a new car for the current girl I was living with. We were down to a Maita (only because it was so cute for her) or a 90 LX 5.0. We got the Mustang.

89 was the first year for the Miata. Me mum wanted one, but they were going for like 100% markups as I recall.

BTW, the MK3 is the Factory Fave Racing Cobra Replica. Unlike Superformance from South Africa, you have to put these together and there are a lot of options. But by all accounts they are very well made and can be turned into quite awesome cars. There's a local shop I like that has there own high nickel content iron 351W and some gnarly packages. Maybe someday. One project at a time.

I was-still am- into the Cobra kits. If I could sell my Vette for enough money to build a good Cobra, I'd do it in a heart beat.

30G plus your labor and you can have a fantastic one. With a couple g invested in your Vette and a better market, you probably could get int he 20s.

Oh my hands are full. A few of us could certainly help with paint and body if you were ever down for it. Honestly I'd love to build a Twin Turbo Glass Black C2, with a red hour glass on the head like a Black Widow. That one is probably gonna have to stay in my imagination for a while.
