From CMC rule book
Quote:
7.5.1 Other than Ford cars up to and including 1993, fenders / quarter panels must be OEM stock or an
OEM replacement meeting the following requirements:
1. The lips may be rolled inward for tire clearance and may not be flared outwards.
2. Panels may not otherwise be modified / altered / or installed in such a way as to purposely
increase width or possible track width over OEM dimensions
3. Plastic interior wheel opening panels may be removed.
Ford cars up to and including 1993 may modify the OEM fenders / quarter panels (including adding
aftermarket flares) and body mounts as needed in order to gain track width up to the maximum stated in
6.3. The resulting bodywork modifications must conform to CCR 18.1.3 and must have no other function
than to gain tire clearance

Updated OP. blackax ponied up an additional $200, so after sending $180 to Ron tomorrow and collecting $100 from redondo jon, we'll have a little over $100 to work with.

Water pump and MC so far. The water pump is probably whatever costs at the yard, the MC was brand new and ran me $100 IIRC. I'll have more once I get a replacement vehicle.

We really want to do the chump car challenge or the lemons race. To run Camaro Mustang challenge (CMC) you need a racing license. That take time and money. NASA will not certify you. There are schools that will do it, but they fail a lot of people (can't drive) and they are expensive ($3600). That's why I was like kick back. We are going to be a few grand in this this when it has a cage seats, harnessess (I have a really nice g-force spare), and a fuel cell. I will support either way.

I think CMC just came up as point of discussion, not a serious target.
It'll be for local stuff like Adams, then events like Lemons, Chump, etc.
