Amsoil is a very good product just harder to get. I use Royal Purple because it is not as hard to obtain. But I put amsoil in my Quad and no problems next time Royal Purple and Not good at all I couldn't even ride it the clutch was slipping like a mofo. So I drained it flushed it and refilled it with amsoil and no problems.

Do they just make engine oil, or do they make manual trans oil too?

Honda 450 motors have two places for oil they both take regular motor oil though one with Molly and one without. But me being Lazy I waited to change the oil the day I was leaving to go ride and had Royal Purple and decided to use it in both sides meant to look it up to see if it was okay but i was running late. Most bikes use the same oil for both functions.

Amsoil, and I mean for my T56, which DOESN'T take motor oil. BTW, some Honda's (Civics?) also take motor oil in their transmissions I think.

They have a pretty large product line. So I am sure there is something for every application. Check out there site.

I run redline ATF in my T56.

So... I call this Mercedes dealer and ask if they stock the 5w30 ESP. They say, YES, I ask the list price, good deal so I drive there after class... 10 miles. I get there and talk to the same guy, say I'm here for the 5w30 ESP, he says oh ya, but you mean 5w40, I say no 5w30, he says 5w40. I say... no, 5w30. He says diesel right? It's 5w40. No you stupid fuck! (I didn't say that part) Then he proceeds to tell me that he doesn't have the 5w30... Thanks for assuming to know what I need better than I do you prick!

...Think I'm going with Amsoil. I'm just going to double check the specs in my owners manual and make sure it meets the criteria.

Chuck, if I buy the $10 membership I get it at 'wholesale price' for 6 months. It's like $77 before shipping and tax for 10 quarts. I doubt I'll get it much cheaper than that. It's like $115 shipped with the filter and tax.

My 6.4 has no DPF, just a gutted body. I also have the tuner set with a "stock" tune to fool the obd2 check and to keep from smoking.
So my suggestion would be to get an exhaust, intake, and tuner to take full advantage of removing the DPF, i gained 10mpg city and highway after. My truck gets about 24mpg highway and 18 city
