Here's the engine. And if you're wondering why there's a 2 barrel carb sitting on it, it's because the engine cam with it so that's what we'll be running for the 24 Hours of Lemons. It's a 500cfm Holley and I think it'll be enough for the 300 flywheel horsepower that we'll be trying to squeeze out of this engine.

Well, that kinda sucks. Hopefully we can still get some parts and consulting as that is no small part of the reason for going with a Fox. . .

Ron, out of curiosity, how much "power" and torque does that V8 make stock compared to the I4 that's in the Mustang now?

Its not something I want, I blew up the engine in my truck today. No matter which route I take i'm looking at about a 10k loss.
The parts are still yours but I doubt i'll be much help since I wont have any mode of transportation for a long time. Not sure when i'll be able to even get another truck...

Dunno, was behind a mini van and the truck started compression popping. Exhaust valve isnt opening, each valve setup is $660 so that 10k just for the valve train. or 8k for a new engine. Plus the 2-4k in labor to pull the cab and do the work. So i'm gonna sell it for what I owe cause I cant afford to fix it again. Just did a new trans and that hurt badly.

The 1988 2.3 made 90hp and 134tq. The 1975 302 2 barrel made 125hp but I can't find a torque rating for it. But we aren't going to be leaving it stock.
