Oh no!!!

On my friends Ranger one of them was completely glazed from rubbing on the metal backing plate of the completely worn down brake pad. So going against the grain we rubbed them down with 80 grit to break up the glaze before installing new brakes. It worked pretty well.

What makes this more hilarious is that this pic is displayed on a website not to show that this guy is a moron, but to show examples of candy red. I guess most painters are not also mechanics.

That's interesting. Should work fine I guess. I've always just used the hard braking cycle.

Mine never make it that far. They always start cracking and failing due to heat stress. At least he didn't paint a Mexican flag or a Poncho Via portrait on it.
