You are. And if you get some of your buds, they will be too. :smack: Plus I think mrvette is in FL.

I forgot that Gene is in Fla.

Lot of you boys out West/Ca....Looks like a great crowd:thumbs_up:

Sean (SeanPlunk), another fellow and I are the Founders. We live here in SoCal. We don't have a built in model audience, and are a bit light on funds, but we had an idea of making a completely open Make/Model Community with a host of features. One of the ways we promoted and expanded was to go to the strip take videos and say hey, "see yourself here for free." That kinda worked and several of the old timers got here that way. I know Glenn from the first DC Bird Cruise. We're not trying to be a SoCal only board, it's more of a limitation of resources. If you got any clever ideas, please to share.

That idea of the videos is great along with the timeslip area. I told a couple of buddies at work about it. One has a drag car built for the 1/8...70 nova and the other has a 69 camaro which does double duty with the only change being rear tires on track day. The guy with the Nova also has a 69 camaro, a roadrunner a 70 buick, etc etc. I'm going to see if I can't get them to join...neither are pros...rather just like me...part time fun seeker and bubba:rolling:

I've followed the bird cruises and think that they are fantastic. I know that Kevin and Tim went the last time around for the big one. I couldn't go...I am on the east coast and just couldn't figure out how to pull it off time wise/money wise let alone going it by myself. I still say that you guys in Cal have all the fun:sm_laughing:

Most of the guys in this region from VM are spread out...Georgia, Fla, NC, so distance is a problem for get togethers. I know Gene tried last fall to put one together, but probably didn't get out of staters. There's quite a few guys on CF around here, but I don't think they like us much:sm_laughing:

Keep the ideas rolling and put some into place and hopefully you'll get more participating members. Look at VM. Those guys put it together and stuck to a model and principle...ie, fun, tech, and no bullshit vette business....and they are growing daily. Of course the dumbasses at CF gave them an opportunity and they seized on it....good vision I guess. And the mods are great people...don't believe the crap you here about them at CF. Larry, Marck and Karsten have all helped me when I needed it. Jeff also has helped me, but he's not a mod anymore, just a great contributor.

Thanks brother. If you didn't see that you can do comparisons of slips, your buds might find that amusing. I use it to remind Sean that I'm still faster in my poor little old Corvette than he is in his Pullied Cobra every chance I get.

California is a fantastic place to live in a lot of ways. But I definitely have a love hate relationship (and I'm a native). The politics here would make your drop your jaw sometimes, and despite still being the center of the car universe in a lot of ways, it's pretty car unfriendly for modification and custom work . . . legally anyway. Pretty soon, instead of getting our own money back in the form of tax refunds we'll get IOUs. . .

Yea, Bird's ok:p. I met the twins, they were great. I've been a member of CF DC and CV- VM is the best Vette site. Now, Motorgen is something completely different from a lot of Fourms- What I like it about here is the fire these guys have.

I've actually like being around these guys. I'm not a "group" fun type of guy. I don't like............well........people (most can't keep up) as a whole. These guys, actually, are pretty cool. I do mean most of them, if not all of them.:drink:

This does include PONYBOY.

DC is kinda dead in the C3 area. For a short period it was rockin...that is until VM came along.

Having fire in the belly is what it is all about! Glad you guys got it!

Ponyboy? I haven't been here long enough for the inside jokes yet, but I'll give a laugh anyway:sm_laughing:
