Your map works fine! Any background info on the Tour d'Orange?

I am looking forward to it.

Redondo Jon 01-18-2012 08:53 PM

Keep in mind: Dependent upon how many people show up, we’re almost assured of getting separated. Therefore, we don’t necessarily have to do this run. blackax made the suggestion during the meeting at Nick’s that Ortega would be fun. Even though I just did it, I’d go again. (one of my favs) One of the only reasons I thought that The Tour d‘Orange might be an option is because it could be done with just about any vehicle, rain or shine. Plus, it was kinda fun between the stop lights.
I wasn’t racing, honest.

georgetek 01-19-2012 10:15 PM

If this is a go I'm in. We should post it up at ls1gto also.

George

Redondo Jon 01-20-2012 07:39 PM

Okay, who’s dealing with their other respective sites? We need to find out if this is a “go” or not. Remember, this is up to us.
I can do this one: http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/

blackax 01-20-2012 10:52 PM

Well where are we gonna eat when we are done?

Redondo Jon 01-20-2012 11:18 PM

I don’t know “The District” but I think there’s a bunch of eating places there. In & Out isn’t my favorite but in a pinch… Maybe someone who knows that area better than me can chime in. Also, it’s not set in stone that we end the cruise there. I’ll always favor a better idea.

Chuck 01-21-2012 01:15 AM

End at 5 guys in orange.

5 Guy's at the District also...way more parking...

Small White Car 01-21-2012 02:40 PM

Shall I let the rest of the little guys know?

I did the tour, it was fun trying to keep up with Ferarris and Porsches on PCH, knowing full well if the man jumped, it was me that was goin' down...

Easiest to catch.

Redondo Jon 01-21-2012 09:07 PM

So far, you’re the only one besides me who’s willing to post on another car site that we’re planning a cruise and the clock is ticking. The Tour d’Orange, as much fun as it was, worked because of the large number of attendees. Yes it can be done rain or shine whereas Ortega Hwy. can’t but Ortega is more appealing, regardless of numbers, and has a better ending. (Fuddruckers usually) Yeah, there’s a Five Guys at The District but it doesn’t look like we can gather together to eat, talk, and generally hang-out. Without the numbers this’ll just be a long drive throughout Orange County. Borrring…
The Tour d’Orange is starting to sour.

Fudd's in Lake Forest had the shopping center remodeled, parking sucks now.

Redondo Jon 01-22-2012 03:10 PM

Maybe they did but we didn’t have any problems. Tons of really good open parking. January 15, 2012

The Poll lasts until the 29th. Once we’ve decided where we’re going, it’s going to be a dash to the finish to try to get some numbers generated.

So is it safe to assume that the link which was posted with the actual route is the one we will be taking? I can post this on my350z.com.

Damian 03-17-2012 09:57 AM

I just need to know when and where at what time.

Not yet. This is what needs to be finalized here. BTW, I hit my350z.com. It'd be great if you just chime in what I post. Username "MG Runs".

I searched for MG runs and MGruns and nothing came up. When I searched for MG I didn't see anything that would match this board.

Here's the Nick's Thread.

Vettezuki 03-22-2012 12:51 AM

Alright kids, see post 2 in this thread. I have no objection to just following this route and ending at the district. Anyone? If not, this is what we'll go with and the pimping will commence this Friday night.

Redondo Jon 03-22-2012 03:22 PM

We’ll probably have some discussion about exactly where at The District to end this. When we did it in January we ended the tour at In-N-Out burger; neither The District nor In-N-Out are among my favorites but so what. This drive was so enjoyable I wouldn’t care if I arrived at the parking lot upside down. Well, maybe a little but you get the idea. Providing some numbers get generated, this should be a good one.

Shaolin Crane 03-22-2012 10:37 PM

Provide food place and I will make my effort to attend that at least.

Redondo Jon 03-22-2012 11:30 PM

There's a bunch of places there.
