If it's not too late I'm down for attending.

See you there. 11:15 am. Check route in OP.

Damian 03-12-2011 09:10 AM

I will try and make this one. I've done a tone of work to my newly boosted Eclipse and I need to make sure my hard work and money weren't wasted. I'm working night shift, so we will see how I feel in the morning.

mark2jz 03-12-2011 07:46 PM

so is the start location the promenade? or rite aid?

JMak 03-12-2011 08:34 PM

Do people usually bring 2way radios to keep in communication and popo spotting? If so I will bring my set.

We've tried before, but in canyon runs they don't work so well.

Promenade !

duhveed 03-13-2011 12:45 AM

See you guys later today!

ZexGX 03-13-2011 03:26 AM

I think I am out. My Bird is still down and my Jeeps power steering pump and MPG isn't up to the task (even if the suspension is). That and I am just now getting to sleep.

silvein 03-13-2011 04:25 PM

Well that was fun.

SeanPlunk 03-13-2011 04:34 PM

Sorry I missed. I was 50/50 and then walked out and saw the rear right tire on the Cobra was basically flat. I filled it up 2 weekends ago and I obviously have a slow leak. I'm getting it patched next Saturday..

How was it? Traffic? How many cars?

don2000 03-13-2011 04:37 PM

Good times!

It was a lot of fun. Tons of cars. The 101 got a little backed up on the way in. And almost no traffic on the cruse itself.

My experience was different than others as I waited and helped get Ben's car started when his battery died. So there was just the 3 (then 4) of us on the road most of the time, and a lot of the traffic was cool and moved over.

At the meet though there were a whole lot of cars, but I didn't count. More than 40, probably more than 50, maybe even 60.

Left my lights on. Have no idea why I turned them on in the first place. There were 60 cars.

Sorry I couldn't print more directions. I got about twenty copies out and the printer ran out of toner. I *think* most people sort of stayed together as don2000 who knew the route was leading and not much reason to get mixed up once out onto Mulholland. However, Leedom for sure got mixed up at some point.

The scenery was fantastic and Neptune's net has a lot of personality. Not bad food and reasonable prices too.

Just got home, beginning to transfer video.

Leedom 03-13-2011 05:48 PM

Had a good time. Even getting lost the roads were fun.

JMak 03-13-2011 06:48 PM

Great meeting everyone, it was an awesome day with some great twisties and Neptunes Nets had some great food and a very interesting crowd of people.

kdracer73 03-13-2011 06:53 PM

Great run ! We had a blast ! Are we doing a separate pic thread ??

duhveed 03-13-2011 07:32 PM

Yeah make a separate picture thread I wanna see them!

Great cruise today not crowded at all

whiteboyjoe2000 03-13-2011 08:05 PM

It was good.....Neptunes was just a little too crowded for my liking though.

Vettezuki 03-13-2011 09:28 PM

Sorry fellas, passed out cold once I got home.

I went to the junk yard before and picked up more things than I expected. Next time.

jedhead 03-13-2011 11:27 PM

I had a blast. I was by myself on Stunt road. Ben and John caught up after a while. I was following a group of Harley rides that were not in any kind of hurry.

Just eat some Cup O'Noodles or go without food to make up the difference. You can eat at the great La Tolteca at the end of GMR.

I had a great time. I was with the small group in the Rite Aid parking lot. There was an early Subie, a Subie hatch, 2 last gen F Body Camaros, a Sonic Blue '03 Cobra, and me in my black '03 Mach 1. We seen all the cars leave from another location, and we stood there, scratched our heads, then finally jumped in to follow. Other then that it was great, I've been thru the canyons before, but never with such a large group. I was never updated on the final meet destination, this is my first post here, I spend my time over on SVTPerformance.

I'm glad you guys figured that was the group to be with. Sorry not to have updated the thread over at SVTPerformance. In the future, we'll only link back to the main site here. There were too many sites to update and we didn't have the time to revise them with updated info. Sorry for any inconvenience.

It was no big deal, everything got figured out. Even the 1st page on this thread said Rite-Aid, I searched around last night and seen it on 8 or 9 to meet at Promenade.

I had a great time still. Reminded me of the OCHP cruise up to Big Bear a few years back.

Does anyone who drives a Silver Cobalt remember a black 350Z behind you from Stunt to Malibu? We were followed by a red 370Z and white G35?
