What a bummer, sorry dude. How many cars ended up in that Palmdale group with you? Looking back on it I think we lost a Vette, Doyle's Mach, and a Cobra Vert. Were any of them with you?

BTW, it looks like it actually has quite a decent restaruant (sea food, love it.). Also, near the shop looks like a strip of restaurants emulating some kind of downtown vibe. Next time we do this run I'd like to give one of these areas a whirl.

Victoria Gardens is an outside mall. It has the down town Pasadena vibe with better parking.

Nice. Was this at the restaurant or when you got home?

My buddy in a black S2000 was with the Palmdale group. Myself in my white WRX and my buddies in the red S2k and blue wrx were waiting for him just before the junction with the 138. We had been there a while, so we had popped our hoods to talk about stuff, and you pulled over to make sure everything was alright, thanks :)

Yep, we had about 6 cars that missed the turn and went straight . I think some gave up and got on the 14fwy and went home. The Vette was behind us and made it to Fudds, but took off just as the rest pulled in.

There's no time limitiation, but there is a size limitation (fairly huge.) How big is the file?

v3lzie 07-12-2010 11:50 AM

Haha, yeah I was part of the Palmdale group... I don't remember who was up front but it was 6 of us who missed the turn and just kept following each other off course. I just checked the map, and it was about 10 miles past the turn when we all stopped and realized we were off. While we were there, a Mini pulled up and thought they had just caught up ;p One of my little dogs who was along for the ride got car sick (doh!), so I figured to just grab the 14 and head home at that point. Next time, I'm bringing my gps and leaving the dogs at home!

brianna6c 07-12-2010 09:34 PM

it was interesting to see everyone behind me pulled off the palmdale group and turned back up to upper big tujunga. the drive was awesome. being able to push the little miata and somewhat keep up with a evo and g35 was awesome. i can't wait for the drive on the 14th and i'll try to get more of my friends to come with their bmw's.

You know me and my poster size pictures!
Maybe I was using the IMAX mode on my pocket cam.

It is 200MB

Good times. I have a clunking in the chassis or suspension. I think it is the front lower ball-joints that have over 80k miles on them, and hopefully not a broken swaybar/mount/endlink. Will be getting new aftermarket rear LCAs in a couple weeks, and hopefully some nice aftermarket swaybars to replace the 32mm/19mm OEM SS/WS6 setup I have had since 2006.

Me too. LOL. I'll let you go in front of me so I can see how to dodge the rocks again.

I had fun...despite missing the turn...TWICE. I saw people coming back the other way...didn't know what to do. :( But managed to catch up to Sean. Look forward to the next one!

So I think that the last little run on the freeway may have caused a little header leak. Had it re-sealed before, but heading back to RET at the end of the month. The cruise was still lots of fun. Hope to see everyone out again.

You can only learn to truly dodge rocks after they have been kicked up by a ANNOYINGLY YELLOW Mustang, ricocheted off the front fascia and down the entire undercarriage of an ANNOYINGLY ORANGE Charger only then to be spat out in smaller harder to dodge car killing bits....

My apologies

I MAY have been one of the cars in that pack. I'm trying to see if I can get a video from the other cars.

Ben (Vettezuki) has my dash cam video... My camera likes making things difficult aparrentley... My camera's codec won't play nice with the site.

any news on the next cruise? I remember something about august for the next event on the bottom of the directions but lost those.

That little freeway cruise afterwards was fun hah.

We're thinking to do a Rim of the World cruise. Sean is looking into it.

SeanPlunk 08-01-2010 10:03 PM

Coming tomorrow. Not sure about a ROTW cruise for August. It's a fairly long one and I would want to check the route out first. I'm making a decision on something tomorrow though.

TheClaw101 09-03-2010 01:46 PM

Never been there
