Dry fit fender just to get an idea

Im in between these two tires. Toyo proxes r888 and michelin pilot sport cups. Both are great but the toyos are a bit cheaper, at least $80 a tire. Opinions? Car will see some street but a lot of canyon roads and some track days. Not overly concerned on treadwear.

 Real curious to see what Carlos has to say.

Nate, Toyo's all the way. The Michelins are fast, but over heat faster than the Toyos. The Toyos will also last longer since they don't chunk as much as the sport cups. I have run multiple sets of both. I never ran a brand new set of sport cups. Below is huge link to a sale on the Toyos. $95 a piece plus shipping. My only big beef with the Toyos was that they were really fast (almost R6) brand new and when they had almost no tread on them. The rest of the time there was a noticeable performance degradation. PM me if you have any other questions. The car looks great. I'm Jelly.

P.S. My best 60 on the Toyos was a 2.0 on a 19 295.

Unless you intend to pass national security secrets to Nate on PM, I don't see any reason not to keep this in this thread since it is, surprisingly, on topic.

Thnx for the feedback. I think I am gonna go with the toyos. I only hear good things about them. Thnx for the link too but it looks like they dont have any 295/30r18's available.

Jbtires.com and johnbtires.com has scrubbed TOYOS in your size. They are good. I have a set of C5 in 275 and 345 from them. I 345's fit with the right rim and a thin spacer. I have some used 19" 295. Who is doing the fender installation for you? I am considering adding zo6 fenders to run wider tires. Thanks for charging the build.

Ill check them out for tires, thnx. My friend has a small shop in Covina, Koncept Motorwurkz. Theyre doing the work for me.

Got these bad boys in today. Should have them mounted this Friday. Till then, have a safe Thanksgiving everyone.

Threw the Toyos on today and test fitted the wheels.
