I learned back in high school auto shop class to always use the fine cut last and to put a swirl finish on the rotor. Even when I worked at Econolube back in high school the brake guys did this. I guess that's why I've never had an issue when I have my rotors turned. It's just like putting the final hone in a cylinder to help the rings set.
