Default Weight of Stripped Gen II Camaro?

How heavy is a Gen II Camaro at a roller stage? I'm still kicking around the idea of a promotional electric drag/AugotX car. Right now, a 1974 Datsun 260Z is high on my list. They're cheap, light, plenty of parts availabilty, etc. etc. By I kinda like Gen II Camaros. But weight is a major issue.

I've seen them between 2500 and 2200lbs.

Mmm, still a bit chunky. I'm looking for finished weights no more than that range.

I actually like the look of the old Datsuns more than the 2nd gen Camaros.

IMO the jump from the 1st to 2nd gen for Camaros was a bit like the jump from C3s to C4s. Not an aesthetic improvement.

I actually quite like those early 70 Datsuns. But I don't mind the 2nd Gen Camaros either, and some of them are full-tilt bad ass. Check out the F-Bomb.
