I have reason to believe my Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator is taking a doodoo on me so if anyone is kind enough to let me borrow there's for a quick session, say 20 min, that would be great. I'm assuming they are all the same, mine is a 1:1 by the way on boosted motor. Thanks

Isnt there a way to check and see if its good or not? Do you have the fuel gauge on it as well? A buddy of mine has one, but Im not taking it off. I can get you fuel pressures on it though.

Are you sure your fuel filter is not plugged up?

It seems to have a hard time holding pressure under throttle and holds no pressure at all after shut down, that leaves me to believe either the regulator is beginning to fail or the check valve in the fuel pump has failed.

edit: Fuel filter is brand new but maybe so, I mean I can bump fuel pressure up to over 60psi no prob with the regulator so doubtful but possible.

I think its the check valve and not hte regulator. I had one and I would open it to see if the diaphram is leaking or if it's worn. My aeromotive was adustable for both base and rate to it might be a bit different.

Yeah I find it unlikely to be the regulator. I'm thinking of a way to test the check valve. If I put power to the pump to pressure the fuel system with motor off I should kink the return line, cut power from the pump and it should hold pressure If not then check valve is toast.

What kind of fuel pump are you using? usually they are reasonable. A Walbro 255lph is ~$125 and good for almost 500whp.

It has a Walbro 255. If it comes down to it I'll replace with a new MK4 Supra pump.
