Electric cars have been around since the dawn of the automobile. (And bar night trivia alert: At one point in the early 1900s, EVs were about a third of the cars on the road). But it's taken more than 100 years for them to achieve their full promise. Now, quick charging networks and high-capacity batteries have opened up EVs to a wider audience, and particularly in urban areas, they're a perfect fit.
