Default How many miles can an LS1 take before it pops?

Assuming unknown Jiffy Lube type maintenance. This Camaro that I'm about to check out has 116K miles on it. How many years of smog free performance should I expect out of it?

LS1's are really robust. Just go to LS1tech and search "most miles" or something. 200k is not uncommon. I thought the one you were looking at (the blue one) has only 83k?

Assuming they didn't do a hack job of a tune that destroys the factory cats, deep into the 100s for sure. The most likely and somewhat expensive thing to pop up in those millage ranges are the coil packs. Couple hundred bucks used, $500+ for new OEMs as I recall. You should do a basic tuneup, with new plugs and probably a good SeaFoam treatment (cheap) if it's high milage. The LS1s were notoriously rich from the factory, and if somebody was pussy-footing, there's probably quite a bit of carbon build-up in the combustion chambers, pistons, and valves.
