I have a Spec Stage 2+ in the Cobra and it was the same way. I had it slip in third before and when it does you'll know because it smells terrible very quickly. I had a spring on the clutch disc break a while ago and didn't have the cash to buy a new clutch with pressure plate so I just bought a new clutch disc and used the Spec pressure plate. The clutch is a McCleod which they said was close to the Spec disc that was in it before. It is much smoother than the Spec disc was but I don't think it holds as well.

I'm making a fair bit less power than you guys (390 whp) and have the McLeod Single Plate Street package supposed good up to 450 as I recall. Always great.

Thats a good idea... Im guessing my clutch will need to be replaced around 20k miles, but theres no reason the pressure plate would wear out that quickly, so I might as well reuse it.

I was thinking mc cleod, Ive heard good things. If you say you think it doesnt hold as well I guess Ill go for a model that holds more than enough hp

I've had this one slip a few times where I only had the Spec one slip once. That's the reason I say it doesn't hold as well. They did have other discs available, I just went with the one that they thought would be closest to what I had before. Plus I think I only paid like $75 through GTR for it.

Ya some people never have a problem with them... seems like if you tend to ride your clutch more they break in more evenly
