My LM2 works like a scan tool and pulls and clears codes for OBD2. Not sure if it will do what you need it to but you're welcome to try it out if you don't want to wait for blackax.

Was the upper radiator hose hot?

Good point. Didn't check the upper hose. I have one of those infrared temp scanners that works really well.

I need to get my temp gauages sorted. To do that I need to get an adapter made for the original 82' Vette sending units for the gauges . . . as I understand it.

In the first race scene against the RX7, he shifts his Eclipse 7 times. Count it.

I think even the turbo Eclipse was just a 5 speed, but either way his Eclipse was NA, same motor as my Neon, and it comes with a 5 speed.

He had a custom tranny built to handle all that fast furiousity.

It seems it was just low on coolant last night. I topped it off, but there must have been a big air pocket in there somewhere. Before firing it up tonight I checked and it was low, topped it off again, and now it stays right around 180F.

Thanks to blackax for letting me borrow his bluetooth reader. Combined with Torque, a total $25 solution, it's amazing. You can set all kinds of things to read and log in real time.

One thing I noticed is that while cruising along in 5th gear at roughly 65mph the temp was at 180, when I up shifted to 6th and ran lower rpm, almost lugging but not quite, the temp immediately went up to about 5 degrees. I guess this must have something to do with cylinder pressures/temps at lower rpms.

Anywho, I will DEFINITELY be getting a bluetooth ODBII connector so I can run Torque all the time. It also means I don't have to be concerned about the gauges sense I can get info direct from the ECU this way. It also means I get to drive the Vette for Mulholland, the first time since Ortega in the Fall! Yeah!

I'm sure it has more to do with your water pump running slower as well.

Have you ever heard of Scan Gauge? I like it but it doesn't log though, kinda does though. It does show you what's going on and you can watch 4 things at once on it's screen, which you can change.
