Porsche, like the rest of the automotive world, is gearing up for the
Los Angeles Auto Show at the end of this month. While for us that means carefully calculating our staggered chow-runs to In-N-Out Burger in-between press conferences, for Porsche it involves prepping two more world-class sports cars with which to dominate the competition.
In a press release today, Porsche announced that it would be bringing along its
911 Carrera 4 for a North American debut. Having already seen the all-wheel-drive 911 at the
Paris Motor Show (
hell, we've even driven the thing), the Carrera showing will serve as nothing more than an appetizer to the main course: a world premiere.
Right now, the German automaker is saying only that the new car is a "compact sports car." Previous reports have said that
the next-generation Cayman could be coming to LA, so the mystery may not be especially deep.
